Surf Lessons in Montauk and the Hamptons
All CoreysWave Surf Lessons include a short on-land lesson where students learn basic technique, safety skills, and surf etiquette to begin their surfing experience. In-water lesson lasts about 1 hour. Most beginner lessons are 1.5 hours long but can be shortened or lengthened as it suits the student and instructor. As students progress, less time is spent on-land and more time in-water. Each lesson is customized to maximize student experience as surfing ability develops!
Choose from One of Our Lesson Formats:
- Private Lesson: 1-2 hours
- Group Lesson: 2-3 students per instructor, 1+ hours, depending on ocean conditions and students' experience

Mega Training Session: (all-day training): 3+ hours
For those too stoked on surfing to only surf an hour or two. Spend the day working on technique, surfing different breaks, and having a blast!
Stand-Up Paddle Surfing Lessons
A new twist on an old Hawaiian favorite. Can't stand it when the surf's flat and there's nothing to do? Or does tumbling around in the surf not really appeal? We provide stand-up paddle instruction at the same cost as most rentals, so why not book your own personal guide and instructor?
Stand-up paddle surfing offers versatility for the user and flexibility for the conditions to allow paddling action almost anytime. There is an abundance of breathtaking locations in Montauk and the greater Hamptons region to stand-up paddle. Kids Surfing Academy
The Kids Surfing Academy is especially designed to get kids stoked on surfing. Kids' first experiences with the ocean will shape their attitude towards it for the rest of their lives. It's important to get your kid off to a fun and safe start. They will make new friends, receive personalized attention and develop a connection with the ocean that they will always remember. Our staff of professional surf instructors will take kids to the next level while creating new interests in protecting our coastal ecosystems.
The Kids Surfing Academy lessons and activities include surfing, body boarding, body surfing, beach games, and stand-up paddle boarding. Kids ages 7-16 can register for our daily (weekday) Kids Surfing Academy and learn essential ocean safety knowledge while learning basic skills on their first day! More advanced students will improve faster with the aid of our professional surf instructors.
The Kids Surfing Academy includes snacks and water for all kids attending that day. All surfboards and surf equipment is supplied.
